Art for Bibliophiles
These pieces began as a surrealist drawing exercise: Entopic Graphomania. This Excercise consists of taking a piece of paper —it can be a page from an old paperback book, or anything with markings—and place dots on specific words or letters. You choose what set of marks, words, or letters you want. Then connect the dots with curved, zigzag or straight lines to create a pattern. Every single page gave me a new pattern that was unique, it was as if each page had its own finger print. I took the patterns a step further and let each one dictate its color, turning each piece into a color study of its own.
